When planning your boating adventures, understanding marina fees is crucial for effective budgeting. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
Berthing Fees: Most marinas charge fees based on the size of your boat and the duration of your stay. LOA stands for "length overall" and measures your vessel's length, including any spars that protrude from the hull or platforms on the stern.Rates may vary for transient versus long-term docking. At Liverpool Marina, they also vary dependent on your use of the vessel; commercial, long stay etc.
Utility Charges: Be prepared for additional costs for electricity, water, pump outs, coal, smoke free wood, and waste disposal services, which can add up quickly. Water is included at Liverpool Marina as is household waste disposal services. We also offer free battery disposal and waste oil disposal. However there is an extra charge for large good disposal such as white goods as well as disposal of hazardous materials and goods such as flares and gas canisters.
Membership Fees: Some marinas require a one-time membership fee for access to amenities.
Additional Services: Services like pump-outs, fuel, and maintenance may incur extra charges. Always inquire about these before booking. All of our services can be booked online and are available 7 days a week.
Seasonal Rates: Marina fees can fluctuate based on the season. Expect higher rates during peak boating months. At Liverpool Marina, our rates do not increase during the Summer season but do increase every year in October, We will announce the % increase every August. For new visiting vessels, we offer Winter discounts from October - March.
Budget for Emergencies: Set aside funds for unexpected repairs or emergencies.
