It is with great pride and pleasure that we are able to announce that after several years of hard work improving our facilities, services and operational processes, we have been awarded four Gold Anchors by The Yacht Harbour Association and Global Marina Institute's Gold Anchor scheme.
'The Gold Anchor scheme has been developed by the marina industry with the specific objective of raising standards and providing customer centric services.
The Scheme assists marinas to position and differentiate themselves in the market place. Participation also provides a global performance benchmarking that contributes to continual business improvement. For consumers, Gold Anchor helps in their evaluation and selection of marinas aligned with their needs.
Marinas entering the Gold Anchor scheme can choose to self-assess against the core scheme criteria or be independently assessed by one of the expert assessor team.
Feedback from participating marinas confirms the significant value associated with an audit every three years by a highly experienced marina professional checking systems, infrastructure and customer service whilst also providing innovative ideas for improvement.'
"We first took on the challenge of gaining the prestigious Gold Anchor accreditation in 2020, although admittedly, it felt at the time that the mountain might just be too steep!
There was a huge amount of work to undertake, not just to the facilities and amenities, but also to our operational processes, service levels and our business values and culture.
This award is recognition of the mighty task we have undertaken and is testament to all the marina team for passionately and purposefully helping to change the marina’s culture. I would like to offer a huge thank you to all those involved; past and present, without whose hard work Liverpool Marina would not have achieved this prestigious award.” - Chloe Baker, Managing Director
The marina was visited by an independent auditor, mystery shopper and underwent an extensive review of all operational procedures and documentation. The results of the latest Survey Monkey feedback form was also issued before reaching their result.
'Liverpool Marina continues to be extremely popular with all groups of customers with a good mix of both coastal and inland vessels offering customers of both types of assorted options to sail or cruise.
The marina may have suffered from lack of investment with previous owners / operators, but Harbourside and Chloe, working with experienced marina consultants are gradually refurbishing, replacing, and improving facilities as much is possible in current economic times.
The Assessor was impressed with the ease at which all documentation was easily to hand together with policy documents and procedures and forwarded via Google Drive for full review at leisure. Chloe has certainly ensured that all documents are at hand and in date.
Liverpool certainly has the potential to be a leading marina in the area with the drive and finances available and the assessor looks forward a future visit and seeing the ongoing developments.' - Gold Anchor Assessment Conclusion
Naturally we are delighted with this fantastic news and look forward to working with TYHA and GMI on future improvement initiatives which aim to benefit our berth holders and customers.
