Brunswick Lock
Access to and from the marina is via our fully computerised lock system situated to the South end of the Brunswick Dock.
The lock is available to 2-2.5 hours either side of high water with a level of 2 metres or more of water over the sill. A table giving the locking times is set out in front of the tide table section but these should be used with caution as the actual times can be affected by local weather conditions.
Operating times are from 06.00 to 22.00 during the summer season (i.e. during the period that B.S.T. is in force) dependent on H.W. times. During the winter the lock is manned as above at weekends but we require 24 hours notice to operate outside daylight hours during the week.
When using the lock please call up the lock keeper on V.H.F. Channel 37(M) using the call sign “Liverpool Marina” and he will call you in as soon as possible. The lock entrances are controlled by signal lights and these must be obeyed at all times unless directed by the lock keeper.
Craft manoeuvring in the confines of the marina must keep their speed below 5 knots.
